It’s hard to get inside the heads of your customers. For one thing, they’re very different people. Although some of them may have the same demographic characteristics, that doesn’t mean they have the same wants and needs, or even the same resources. So it’s important that when they do tell you a little bit about themselves, that you listen.
Now, of course, there are times when customers tell you exactly what’s on their minds. More often than not, though, that’s when you’ve done something extraordinarily good or extraordinarily bad. Then they might complain (or praise) on social media, where those thoughts can quickly be shared—great if they’re good, not so great if they’re bad.
However, it’s not just when customers talk about you that you need to listen. When they talk about your competitors or about other things that they’re interested in, you need to listen, too. How do you do that?
This infographic which Salesforce requested us to share explains how to get content ideas from customers with ease.
